This impressive house is situated in its own large grounds in a slightly elevated location a short walk from the beach. It has been furnished and equipped to a high standard and enjoys good sea views, especially from the upper floor. Winding paths run through the superb gardens. The tourist board grading for Penglyn self catering accommodation is a 4 star rating.
Amroth is situated close to Tenby between Saundersfoot and Pendine
in an unspoilt area of Pembrokeshire, South Wales. It has a large sandy
beach backed by cliffs. This beach marks the easterly end of the Pembrokeshire
Coastal Path, which winds its way for 186 miles past all the coves,
beaches and cliffs of the Pembrokeshire National Park. Amroth beach
is famous for its drowned forest - at very low tides tree stumps can
be seen poking through the sand and fossilised antlers, nuts, animal
bones and Neolithic flints have been discovered. Free parking is available
just off the sea front and there is a slipway for small boats. Shops,
toilets, cafes and pubs are all found close to Amroth beach. On the
beach, sea fishing the incoming tide is a popular sport, pets are allowed
on either end of the beach area.
